Public Speaking For Elementary Students

Grade 3-5 students

When I was a young kid, my mother would encourage me to practice my essays in front of a mirror. At that time I considered it to be a futile activity but over a period of time I realized how she was preparing me to be a well prepared, engaging, and fearless presenter. Malcom Gladwell says that it takes 10,000 hours of practice i.e. 416 days of non-stop practice to achieve mastery of a complex skill. I can say that I have given more hours to building this critical skill than anything else. Building communication skills takes time and effort. Just like me, if your child were to get a head start on how to give an engaging talk, wouldn’t they be prepared to reach their potential?

I’m Sushana Chaudhary and I am here to help your elementary grade student (Grades 3-5) become an effective presenter.

How will your elementary school kid use public speaking skills? Read below.

“My son, Aarav, has been coached and mentored for public speaking by Sushana from Speak Confidently. I have seen tremendous improvement in his speaking ability and confidence in articulating his thoughts and writings to his audience.

One of the best surprises we got was when we got a call from his school teacher. She spoke about how amazing Aarav's presentation was in her class. His teacher and classmates were completely engaged in his presentation and how Aarav didn't just read off the slides but just used the slides as his props to communicate his ideas. The icing on the cake was when his school teacher said that this was one of the best presentations she has seen in her 20+ teaching years.”
